facing Normandy holiday cottage offers a peaceful retreat
yet it is also within easy reach of Mortain and St.Hilaire
- du – Harcouet which are only within 10 and 15 / 20
mins drive away. Supermarkets, shops, bakeries,
bars, banks, restaurants and medical facilities etc. are all
available in these towns.
The property, one of two adjoining cottages, stands within
an overall area of approx. 2 acres and is totally self-contained
with its own well tended garden, pool and parking area. It
also has an uninterrupted view looking out across a wide green
valley to distant hills. The spacious interior has exposed
beams and is bright and very attractive with comfortable furnishings.
English satellite T.V is supplied. Apart from the kitchen with
a tiled floor, all rooms have fitted carpets. Many other little
touches have also been added by the owners, a friendly English
couple, who have given the cottage a warm, true home from
home atmosphere; and is it said with pride that many compliments
have been received to date and some guests have chosen to make
return visits.
The area offers plenty of opportunities for days out with beaches
and many places of interest to visit - several not to far away.
Market lovers are well catered for as five are held in this
area. Various information leaflets are supplied in the cottage
and a tourist information office is located in St.Hilaire.

The
accommodation comprises:

satellite T.V (English stations), and inglenook
with woodburner. Access to downstairs W.C. stairs to upper
floor. French doors opening onto patio.
- FARMHOUSE
STYLE KITCHEN - Well equipped with fitted units,
full size gas cooker, microwave, fridge, washing machine,
dish
washer, pine table / chairs, very comprehensive range of
cooking utensils / crockery / cutlery and a steam iron
and board.
- BEDROOM
1 - Large double bedded room, ensuite comprising corner bath, separate
shower, W.C
and washbasin.
- BEDROOM
2 - Twin bedded room with ensuite shower, W.C
and washbasin.
- GARDEN - 3.5m
dia x 1m deep circular freestanding filtered pool, patio
with pullout sun blind, built in brick BBQ, tables /
chairs, sun - loungers, lawn edged with flower / shrub
borders and access to separate play area with a pair of
swings for
small children shared with Bosham cottage.
- RENTAL
COSTS INCLUDE - Normal use of water, gas for
cooking and electricity (except for heating), provision
of duvets and
pillows, a travel cot if required. Please note bed linen and towels can be provided at a small extra charge. (see below)
- NOT
INCLUDED - but available
at an extra charge. Heating by one or more of the following:
central heating / woodburner. Heating is charged according to use. Log charges vary dependending on local supplies. Bedlinen and towels charged at £20.00 per room per stay.
